As of October 2019 Germany has a seat on the Steering Committee of the Open Government Partnership (OGP).
In February 2020, Germany hosted the Steering Committee in Berlin. See article.
In September 2020, the chancellor Adressed the OGP community at the Virtual Leadership Summit. See article.
In October 2020 Germany changed from Thematic Leadership Subcommittee to Criteria and Standards Subcommittee (co-chairing it with Lucy McTiernan).
